Hank x 3

Who doesn’t love some classic Hank Williams?

And although I don’t agree with his politics, I do agree with Hank Jr.’s music. Emphatically.

Hank Jr.’s son, Hank III, in addition to making awesome old-school outlaw country that does his pa and grandpa proud, also plays metal, punk and hardcore, and created the genre “cattle-core” – frenetic cattle auctioneer-style vocals set to speed metal(!).

So, thanks for a’sharin’ music from Hank Williams 1-3. Interesting how you can hear the voice of the father in the son.

Hadn’t been familiar with Bill Monroe, but Teddy kept wanting me to hear his “Cryin’ Holy Unto My Lord” c.d. Brought it home with me and really like it. Here are a couple of songs to whet your appetite if you don’t know his music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBDZ3G4RCHc

Whoops. For some reason the second song didn’t get copied, so here it is.
